Jesus said:
‘Ask, and you will receive;
seek, and you will find;
knock, and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives,
those who seek find,
and to those who knock,
the door will be opened.’ St Matthew 7: 7, 8

Christ, the image of the invisible God Colossians 1: 13 - 20
1 God rescued us from the domain of darkness
and brought us into the kingdom
of his dear Son.
2 Through him our release is secured
and our sins are forgiven.
3 He is the image of the invisible God;
his is the primacy over all creation.
4 In him everything in heaven
and on earth was created,
not only things visible
but also the invisible orders
of thrones, sovereignties,
authorities and powers:
5 the whole universe has been created
through him and for him.
He exists before all things,
and all things are held together in him.
6 He is the head of the body, the church.
He is its origin,
the first to return from the dead,
to become in all things supreme.
7 For in him God in all his fullness chose to dwell,
and through him to reconcile
all things to himself.
8 He made peace
through the shedding of his blood on the cross,
bringing back to himself all things
whether on earth or in heaven.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and will be for ever. Amen.

7 Song of Praise
1 Now, Lord,
you are releasing your servant in peace,
according to your promise.
2 For I have seen with my own eyes
the deliverance you have made ready
in full view of all nations:
3 a light that will bring revelation to the Gentiles
and glory to your people Israel.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and will be for ever. Amen.

10 Final Collect
Vulnerable God,
you challenge the powers
that rule this world,
through the needy,
the compassionate,
and those who are filled with longing.
Make us hunger and thirst to see right prevail,
that we may see your face
and be satisfied in you,
through Jesus Christ. Amen.
God,
you were before us at our life’s beginning;
be so again at our journey’s end.
You were beside us at our soul’s shaping;
be so again at our life’s finishing. Amen.
11 Conclusion
God’s grace be with all
who love our Lord Jesus Christ
with undying love. Amen.
