7 Song of Praise
The Song of Judith Judith 16: 13 - 15
1 I will sing a new hymn to my God:
O Lord, you are great and glorious,
you are marvellous in your strength, invincible.
2 Let your whole creation serve you;
for you spoke, and all things came to be;
3 you sent out your spirit, and it gave them form;
none can oppose your word.
4 Mountains will shake to their depths
like water,
rocks melt like wax at your presence;
5 but you still show compassion
to those who fear you.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and will be for ever. Amen.

10 Final Collect
God most holy,
we give you thanks
for bringing us out of the shadow of night
into the light of morning.
We ask you
for the joy of spending this day in your service,
so that, when evening comes,
we may once more give you thanks,
through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord. Amen.
God of work and rest and pleasure,
may all that we do this week
be an offering of love as well as of duty.
Keep us, this day and every day,
in the spirit of kindness, simplicity, and joy;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
11 Conclusion
The peace of God,
which is beyond all understanding,
guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Amen.
