Sunday
Evening
Stay with us, for evening approaches,
and the day is almost over.
2 Collect of the Day Daily Prayer
3 Song of Praise
Your light has come Isaiah 60: 2 - 3, 18 - 20
1 Though darkness covers the earth
and dark night the nations,
2 on you the Lord shines
and over you his glory will appear;
3 nations will journey towards your light
and kings to your radiance.
4 No longer will the sound of violence
be heard in your land,
nor havoc and ruin within your borders;
5 but you will name your walls Deliverance
and your gates Praise.
6 The sun will no longer be your light by day,
nor the moon shine on you by night;
7 the Lord will be your everlasting light,
your God will be your splendour.
8 Never again will your sun set
nor your moon withdraw her light;
9 but the Lord will be your everlasting light
and your days of mourning will be ended.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and will be for ever. Amen.

7 Song of Praise
The mystery of our religion 1 Timothy 3: 16; 6: 15, 16
1 Jesus Christ was manifested in flesh,
vindicated in spirit.
2 He was seen by angels
and proclaimed among the nations.
3 He was believed in throughout the world
and raised to heavenly glory.
4 He will appear in God’s own good time.
He is the blessed and only Sovereign,
King of kings and Lord of lords.
5 He alone possesses immortality,
dwelling in unapproachable light;
6 him no one has ever seen or can ever see;
to him be honour and dominion for ever!
Amen.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and will be for ever. Amen.

10 Final Collect
Loving creator of all,
watch over us this night
and keep us always in the light of your presence.
May our praise continually blend
with the song of all creation,
until we come to those eternal joys
which eye has not seen nor ear heard,
all prepared for those who love you;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
11 Conclusion
May God himself, the God of peace,
make us holy through and through,
and keep us sound in spirit, soul, and body,
free of any fault
when our Lord Jesus Christ comes.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us.
Amen.
