God is a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, long suffering and ever constant, & he did not abandon us.
Eternal God You are indeed gracious, for you are our help & our Creator. In your great love for us you call us to be your children: to freedom, to life itself in love & communion with you. You are the source of life & love & only in you can we really experience that true love which is liberating & invigorating Grant to us grace this day as we offer our prayers & praise to you our heavenly Father for you are worthy of all glory honour & praise in this world & the next.
You are holy & you call your people to holiness yet we too often embrace the world’s view of life & reject the holy. We fail to see as others have the call to faithful discipleship, which separates the holy from the profane. Grant to us peace in our hearts as we confess that which is not holy in our lives - the sin we commit in thought word & deed……… Almighty & most merciful God grant to us pardon & remission of life confirm & strengthen us in all goodness & keep us in the life eternal.
Merciful Lord grant to your faithful people peace in our living that we might be freed from all that would hinder true communion with you & serve you with a quiet mind & in so doing fulfil your desire that we should be your faithful servants & disciples until our lives end thru Jesus Christ our Lord who lives & reigns with you the Father & the Holy Spirit One God world without end. Amen.
